Body Polish...

Most of the time, before I post a topic, I always have to be inspired. Either by a product I am using, a research I am doing or a recipe i discovered!

For me, there must be inspiration. Thats why I do not put up posts sometimes 3 days straight! On those days, I simply am not inspired and because I do not blog for blogging sake, I decide I will post only when I have the most inspiring tips, dos and don'ts for healthy glowing skin!

So, I was going through some of my skin care products and decided to share another secret to glowing healthy skin. Have in mind that glowing skin has nothing to do with whether you are dark or fair. You can glow irrespective of your colour. So lets go:

What is Body Polish?
A body polish is a skin exfoliation technique which is designed to rejuvenate your skin. Polishing your body involves elements of massage and body scrubs to reveal a layer of shiny, soft, moisturised skin. It is designed to also cleanse your skin.

Body polish is offered mainly in spas, which begins with the application of aromatic oils to hydrate your pores, followed by the use of an exfoliant to smoothen and refresh your skin. Ingredients such as sea salts, sugar, oatmeal, herbs, or even crushed fruit seeds can be used in the body polish process.

The exfoliant is rubbed vigorously across your body, massaged into the skin and then rinsed away to reveal a glowing, smooth, silky and polished skin. Its lastly followed by an application of a lovely creamy moisturiser.

Other benefits include helping to reduce cellulite, improves blood flow, and lymph circulation.

Now here's the great part, of course going to the spa is great, its one of my best things to do in the world. But sometimes, you just don't have the time or that extra cash to spend. Well, you can make your own polishes @ home. Check out these recipes here
Home Made Skin Care Treatment For SENSITIVE Skin...

Additionally, I have decided to share some of the products I use if I do not have time to whip up my own recipe. I love these products and they have done my skin good. Check them out!

1. The Body Shop Lime & Coconut Shower Gel
2. The Body Shop Satsuma Body Polish

1. Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Scrub (absolutely love!)
2. Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub with Brazillian Nuts.
3. Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Honey Drops Body Cream.

Always find the time to pamper your skin and yourself. Your skin only reflects what you are feeding it or using on it! nothing more!!

Feel free to drop your comments, questions and ideas, till the next post...
xoxo

  6. I freshly wrote a post on this topic too. You are right; there isn't a universally agreed definition of sensitive skin. I personally like the one that focuses on the thickness of the epidermis as the critical factor. In any case, its good news there is no experimental definition of sensitive skin - with appreciativeness it is not a medical complaint.
Here's my own blog post on the topic in case somebody will care to have a look
